Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support us in delivering high-quality food services. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to specified recipes and standards
- Support the chef in preparing ingredients and organising supplies for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Help serve meals to customers or guests in a courteous and efficient manner
- Assist with inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages
- Support the kitchen during busy service periods, ensuring smooth operations throughout
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents or contamination
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and hygiene standards
