We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Face-to-Face Freelance Interpreter/Translator with Level 2 above qualifications to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide face-to-face interpretation services in various settings, including medical, legal, business, or community environments.
- Accurately translate spoken language from one language to another while maintaining the original message’s intent and tone.
- Assist clients in understanding complex information by translating documents or verbal communications clearly and efficiently.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism during all interactions, respecting client privacy at all times.
- Support communication by typing translations or notes as needed for record-keeping or follow-up purposes.
- Collaborate with clients and team members to ensure effective communication flow and resolve any misunderstandings promptly.
- Manage scheduling and coordinate interpretation sessions to meet client needs effectively.
Qualifications
- Must hold Level 2 qualifications in face-to-face interpretation/translation, demonstrating proficiency in both source and target languages.
- Multilingual ability with fluency in English and at least one additional language; bilingual skills are essential.
- Proven experience in translation or interpretation within professional settings such as healthcare, legal, or corporate environments.
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening, clear speaking, and cultural sensitivity.
- Strong typing skills for quick note-taking or translating documents accurately during sessions.
- Ability to work independently as a freelancer while maintaining high-quality standards of service delivery.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable workspace for conducting face-to-face interpretation when required.
