We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Manufacturing Systems Coordinator to join our team on a 3–6 month Fixed Term Contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our manufacturing digitalisation programme. Working closely with our production, engineering, quality and management teams, you will help modernise the way we work by reducing our reliance on paper-based systems, improving manufacturing processes and maximising the functionality of our existing Notion platform.
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys learning new systems, has excellent organisational skills and isn't afraid to challenge the way things have always been done. Whilst previous manufacturing systems experience would be advantageous, attitude, initiative and a willingness to learn are far more important.
Responsibilities
- Work with department managers to understand and document current manufacturing and business processes.
- Support the rollout and development of our existing Notion system across multiple departments.
- Help replace manual spreadsheets and paper-based records with efficient digital workflows.
- Create, develop and maintain production dashboards, trackers and reporting tools.
- Assist with the implementation of electronic production scheduling, job tracking and manufacturing records.
- Support the development of simple MRP processes to improve production planning, stock visibility and workflow management.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and eliminate unnecessary administration.
- Develop standard operating procedures and user guides for new digital processes.
- Train and support employees in adopting new systems and ways of working.
- Work with Production, Quality, Engineering and Administration teams to ensure systems meet operational requirements.
- Assist with data collection, reporting and KPI development to improve operational visibility.
- Provide first-line support for users of the Notion platform and continually seek opportunities to improve functionality.
- Manage assigned improvement projects from concept through to implementation.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, workflows and system changes.
Qualifications & ExperienceEssential
- Excellent IT skills with confidence learning new software packages quickly.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to analyse processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to work with people across all levels of the business.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach with a genuine desire to improve the way things are done.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
- Knowledge of MRP or ERP systems.
- Experience using Notion or similar workflow management software.
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Experience producing dashboards or management reports.
- Basic understanding of production planning, stock control or scheduling.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys solving problems and has the confidence to take ownership of projects.
You'll be someone who asks "Why do we do it this way?" rather than simply accepting the status quo. You'll enjoy learning new systems, finding more efficient ways of working and helping others embrace change.
Above all, we're looking for someone with energy, initiative and the determination to make a positive difference.
