Salary: £12.71 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday 5am to 11am (30 hours a week) including a 20-minute paid break and Monday to Friday 5am to 10am (25 hours a week) including a 20-minute paid break.
Either of the above roles could be worked as a job share.

Key Responsibilities
As a School Cleaner, your main priority will be to ensure that the premises are kept clean, tidy, and presented to the highest possible standard. Your daily duties will include:
- General Cleaning & Tidying: Clearing floor areas and tidying rooms to prepare them for deep cleaning.
- Surface & Floor Care: Cleaning hard floors and carpets (using powered cleaning devices where necessary), walls, paintwork, glass, furniture, and fittings.
- Hygiene Facilities: Maintaining and sanitising toilets, shower areas, and their fixtures.
- Kitchen Areas: Cleaning teaching kitchens and staff/pupil communal areas, including appliances like cookers and fridges.
- Waste Management: Collecting and disposing of rubbish and recycling to designated areas.
- Deep Cleaning: Participating in intensive deep cleaning projects, typically carried out on a termly basis.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensuring the correct use of all cleaning products and equipment in accordance with COSHH regulations and health and safety standards.
- Teamwork: Reporting any maintenance issues or damage, and providing cover for team members during absences or peak workloads.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: Previous experience in commercial cleaning or housekeeping is highly desirable, but not essential—a great attitude and work ethic are what matter most!
- Attention to Detail: Pride in your work with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Compliance & Safety: Willingness to adhere to school policies, including Health & Safety, COSHH, and strict Safeguarding/Child Protection procedures.
- Flexibility: A positive approach to evolving duties and a willingness to attend mandatory training and INSET days.
