Crowne Plaza Reading is seeking a passionate, commercially minded, and hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead our vibrant F&B operation. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced hospitality professional who thrives on delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing high-performing teams, and driving revenue growth.
As Food & Beverage Manager, you will take overall responsibility for our restaurant, bar, lounge, meetings and events and room service operations, ensuring every guest enjoys outstanding service that reflects the Crowne Plaza brand standards.
What You will Be Doing

Leading, motivating, and developing the Food & Beverage team to deliver exceptional service standards.

Managing the day-to-day operation of all F&B outlets, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

Driving revenue, profitability, and guest satisfaction across all food and beverage areas.

Monitoring labour costs, payroll, stock control, and departmental budgets.

Working closely with the Head Chef and wider hotel leadership team to develop innovative offerings and promotions.

Ensuring compliance with food safety, health & safety, licensing, and company policies.

Managing recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning within the department.

Reviewing guest feedback and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Supporting conference, event, and wedding operations to ensure exceptional delivery.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Manager or senior F&B leadership position within a hotel environment.

A proven track record of leading successful restaurant, bar, and events operations.

Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour costs, and profitability.

Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop teams.

Outstanding communication and guest service skills.

Knowledge of food safety legislation, licensing requirements, and health & safety standards.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required by the business.
