Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and cooking under the supervision of senior chefs to ensure timely service
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen according to food safety standards
- Prepare ingredients and components for dishes, including chopping, peeling, and portioning
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation
- Contribute to maintaining stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Support the team during busy service periods by serving dishes and attending to customer needs when required
- Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and sanitation throughout all kitchen activities
Skills
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams
- Supervising experience or leadership qualities that support team management when needed
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and hospitality standards
