Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Dimensional Inspector / Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that fabricated components meet dimensional specifications and quality standards. You will play a vital part in maintaining product integrity in the fabrication processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality production while working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough dimensional inspections of fabricated structural steel such as rafters and columns etc using standard measuring tools such as tapes , angle finders etc whilst using a HoloLens for more complicated items (Full training will be given for the HoloLens)
- Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials according to detailed technical drawings and work instructions
- Maintain detailed inspection records, reports, and documentation to ensure traceability and quality assurance compliance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste and optimizing workflow efficiency
Skills
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurement data accurately
- Experience in a structural steel environment
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices to uphold high standards of craftsmanship and product safety
- Effective communication skills for collaborating across teams and documenting inspection results clearly
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a focus on safety and quality
- HoloLens experience would be advantageous
Hours
06:00 - 16:30 - Monday - Thursday (4 day week)
Optional overtime available Fridays
Pay: £17.38 per hour
