Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant/Cook. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic environment. Duties
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, and assembling ingredients
- Cook and assemble dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces
- Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to at all times
- Support meal preparation during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Help with stock rotation and inventory checks to minimise waste
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to create a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation or cooking is desirable but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
