Working Pattern
This post is based at Nevill Hall Hospital and works a fixed weekend rota:
Saturday: 06:00 – 16:00
Sunday: 06:00 – 16:00
This role is ideal for someone seeking a consistent weekend working pattern while contributing to the safety and security of a busy hospital environment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
As a Security Officer, you will provide a highly visible uniformed presence across the hospital site, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, preventing crime and ensuring a safe environment for everyone. Working independently and as part of a dedicated team, you will play a vital role in protecting people and property while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to security incidents, emergencies and alarms.
Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols across the hospital site.
Prevent, deter and investigate criminal activity and security breaches.
Support staff in managing challenging situations and conflict resolution.
Assist with fire alarm responses and emergency procedures.
Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records.
Work alongside Police, Fire and Ambulance Services when required.
Provide advice and support on security matters to staff and visitors.
