Role Overview:
As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our kitchen team to deliver nutritious and appetising meals for our residents. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen, and assisting with serving meals. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a caring environment while contributing to the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Support the kitchen team with food storage, inventory management, and stock rotation.
- Assist with serving meals and ensuring residents receive their meals in a timely manner.
- Follow health and safety regulations and food safety guidelines at all times.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive dining experience for residents.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is desirable but not essential.
- A passion for food and a commitment to providing excellent service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices (training can be provided).
