Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser or ACD/ACT to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. Prior pharmacy technician/ dispenser experience is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate. Duties
- Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
- Assist with medication administration procedures under supervision, ensuring safety and compliance
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering medication-related advice
- Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and update patient profiles accordingly
- Support inventory management, including stock checks and reordering supplies as needed
- Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy standards in all aspects of work
Experience
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of medication administration processes and patient care practices is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach towards patients
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills for managing electronic health records and pharmacy systems
