Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial management activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in financial accounting and experience with various accounting software platforms. The Management Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining the organisation’s financial health and compliance standards.
Please Note: This job is office based in Cumbernauld, G67, we will require successful candidate to be within travelling distance from our office.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets to support management decision-making.
- Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, and other financial management tools to maintain precise records.
- Oversee the organisation’s financial management activities, including cash flow forecasting and variance analysis.
- Mentor and support junior finance staff or interns, fostering professional development within the team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
- Assist in the optimisation of financial processes and systems to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in financial accounting or management accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of financial services industry practices is desirable.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated mentoring or leadership capabilities within a finance environment.
- Solid knowledge of accounts payable procedures and overall financial management principles.

Pay: From £48,000.00 per year
