We're looking for a HGV Driver to join our South West Water team in Paignton.
Location: Paignton
Hours: 45 hours per week. Shifts covering Monday to Sunday with opportunities to earn overtime and join an on call rota.

As a HGV Driver, you'll be a vital part of Kier's Infrastructure / Water team, supporting reinstatement works on our Bournemouth contract. You will operate hotboxes and grab vehicles to transport materials and equipment and conduct high-quality tarmac reinstatement following excavation works for water mains repairs, new connections, and other essential utilities projects whilst ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards throughout.
What will you be responsible for?
As a HGV Driver, you'll be working within the Infrastructure / Water team, supporting them in delivering high-quality reinstatement works across our Bournemouth contract. Your day to day will include:
- Conducting high-quality reinstatement works across tarmac, concrete, and modular paving following excavation activities, ensuring all finishes meet required standards
- Ensuring all reinstatement complies with HAUC specifications, local authority requirements, and Kier quality expectations
- Safely operating relevant plant, tools, and machinery including rollers, compactors, and associated reinstatement equipment in line with training and procedures
- Accurately completing all job documentation and digital records using tablet-based systems, ensuring timely and compliant submissions
- Working collaboratively with excavation, repair, and reinstatement teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely job completion
What are we looking for?
This role of HGV Driver is great for you if:
- You hold a Full driving licence (HGV/LGV)
- You have experience in highway or utilities reinstatement, with the ability to apply quality workmanship across tarmac, concrete, and modular surfacing
- You're able to operate relevant plant and equipment confidently and safely
