Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service.
Duties
- Operate a lorry to transport goods to various destinations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transportation.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid driving licence and up to date cpcs appropriate for the vehicle type.
- 1 year Experience in driving is required for Insurance purposes
- Familiarity with vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting skills.
- good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
