Key Responsibilities.
- Manufacturing various parts of superconducting magnets and cryostats components for the use the in final construction of superconducting systems following appropriate design drawings and work instructions
- Assembly of superconducting magnets and cryostats in accordance with design drawings and working instructions.
- Adherence to the Company’s quality assurance systems.
- Participation in design reviews.
- Keeping records of assembly and test work.
- Must be able to work alone or in a team
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks and be flexible to learn new skills as required by the business
- Must adhere to the H&S rules and regulations set out by the company H&S policy
- General workshop duties as defined by the Workshop Manager or senior technicians.
- Must adhere to project timescales
- Inform the workshop manager or senior technicians of any design and assembly issues arising; suggest improvements to designs and procedures.
- Adhere to company policies as written in the company handbook

- Mechanical fitting and assembly.
- Cryogen handling.
- Vacuum and leak testing.
- Soldering (hard and soft).
- Welding.
- Machining.
- Wiring.
- Lifting.
- Health and safety at work.
Qualifications.
- Mechanical or general engineer.

Pay: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
