Job Overview
The Production Engineer is required to cover three main areas:
1. New ice machine production.
- Final soldering of pipework and pressure testing.
- Charging hydrocarbon gas (R290 & R1270), and commissioning of completed ice machines.
- Carrying out work to F-gas/refcom, ISO9001 and WRAS standards.
2. Workshop repairs.
- Mechanical and electrical repairs to ice machines and other foodservice equipment.
- Gas repaires to refrigeration equipment.
3. Service department support.
- Supporting Service Engineers when second person is required (large installation etc).
- Covering Service Engineers holiday and busy periods (summer).
- Carrying out ice and water quality testing on clients sites.
In addition to the above, there will be other tasks associated with the Production Engineer role:
- Research and development of new and existing products.
- Technical training for staff and sub-contractorsfor the support of our products.
- Keeping track of stock and preparing stock packages for Service Engineers.
- Collecting and returning refrigeration equipment to customer sites.
- As part of a small team there is a general level of additional support required for your colleagues.
We expect this role to develop into the Engineering/Technical Manager role as experience increases.
Candidate Requirements for Production Engineer
- F-Gas Cat1 with hydrocarbon certificate.
- Mechanical/electrical NVQ or higher.
- IT literate.
- Calm under pressure.
- Excellent communicator across all colleague levels.
- The role will be fast-paced and challenging therefore you must have an adaptable and flexible attitude and approach, be prepared to work alongside your team and be driven to achieve a high level of service.

Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Mechanical engineering: 4 years (required)
- Electrical engineering: 4 years (required)
- Refrigeration: 1 year (preferred)
