About the Role
As Registered Home Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring residents receive exceptional, person-centred care within a warm, safe and welcoming environment.
You will lead and inspire the care team, maintain high standards of care and compliance, and create a positive culture where both residents and staff can thrive.
You will also have the opportunity to bring your own ideas, experience and leadership style to the home while working closely with senior management and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the care home.
- Lead, motivate and develop a dedicated team to deliver outstanding care.
- Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care tailored to their individual needs.
- Provide strong leadership around dementia care and promote best practice.
- Ensure the home remains compliant with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, medication and care planning.
- Monitor and continuously improve the quality of care provided.
- Build strong relationships with residents, relatives, staff and external professionals.
- Oversee recruitment, induction, supervision and development of the care team.
- Manage budgets, resources and staffing effectively.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and drive positive change.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure regulatory requirements are consistently met.
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive culture throughout the home.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and confident care leader who is passionate about elderly and dementia care and has the drive to make a genuine difference.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Registered Manager or Home Manager within an elderly residential or nursing care setting.
- A Level 5 NVQ/Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding and adult social care legislation.
- Experience managing, supporting and developing a care team.
- A strong understanding of dementia care and person-centred approaches.
- Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.
- The confidence to take ownership, make decisions and drive improvements.
- A genuine passion for supporting older people to live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
