Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our team. We have a brand-new wing connected to Arundel Park Lodge, designed specifically for residents living with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care within our residential care home. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage and implement care plans, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the well-being and quality of life of our residents.
This is a waking nights position, working on a weekly rota basis.
Duties
- Assist residents with personal hygiene, continence care and nutrition and hydration requirements over night.
- Support residents in maintaining their independence while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Manage individual care plans to meet the specific needs of each resident.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Document resident progress and any changes in condition accurately and promptly using IT systems.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in caregiving.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home environment is preferred.
- Strong command of the English language for effective communication with residents and colleagues.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
- Competent IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- A caring attitude with a passion for helping others is essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team.
