Tarleton Accountancy Services Ltd is an established accountancy practice based in Lancashire, providing bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and accountancy services to a wide range of businesses.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to appoint an experienced self-employed bookkeeper to support our practice on a subcontract basis.
This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours.
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out bookkeeping work allocated by our practice. All work will be completed remotely and there will be no direct contact with our clients. All communication will be managed by Tarleton Accountancy Services Ltd.
Typical duties include:
- Processing purchase and sales invoices.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records.
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Reviewing client records and identifying any bookkeeping queries.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be fully self-employed.
- Hold a current bookkeeping licence from a recognised professional body (AAT, ICB, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent).
- Hold current Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- Be fully compliant with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
- Have excellent working knowledge of Xero.
- Be confident working independently.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Be reliable, organised and able to maintain strict confidentiality.
Desirable
- Xero Certified Adviser.
- Experience using Hubdoc.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
