PDQ Engineering Ltd has an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner to join our company based in Washington, Tyne and Wear

PDQ Engineering is a leading UK precision engineering subcontractor founded in 1986. We are a dynamic company that has built a solid reputation for quality, accuracy and the ability to manufacture complex components to a broad range of industries.
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC Turner - permanent day shift in the first instance.
The Role:
Being responsible for the programming, setting, and operating of multi-axis CNC Lathes including Y-axis and live tooling.
Good engineering knowledge and previous experience of CNC programming / operating is essential.
The Candidate:
Would have the ability to to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
Would have experience of processing a variety of materials used on both simple and complex parts from small to medium batch quantities.
Would have experience of Fanuc (ISO) controls - this is essential.
Would have the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
A good level of concentration is required, as well as being able to work unsupervised.
Working Hours:
Day Shift: Monday - Thursday 07.30 - 16.30 Friday 07.30 - 12.30
Overtime is available and is paid at T1 1/2. Nightshift allowance T1 1/3.
These are full time, permanent positions and in return the company is offering a competitive salary. The starting hourly rate is dependent on experience and is to be discussed/agreed at interview stage.
