Business Development Manager – South West
Location: South West, predominantly covering Devon and Somerset
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Manager to join one of the industry’s largest, most progressive dealers. About the Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and winning new B2B customers across Devon, Somerset and the wider South West region. The role is focused on consultative selling, building strong customer relationships and promoting a wide range of category solutions that help businesses operate more effectively.
You will sell multiple category services directly to businesses, including office products, print and print management, office furniture, workwear and PPE, branded merchandise, catering supplies and janitorial products.
Key Responsibilities
· Generate new business opportunities across Devon, Somerset and surrounding areas
· Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects across multiple product and service categories
· Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customers, explore additional category growth and involve category specialists to maximise potential
· Develop trusted relationships with decision-makers and understand their operational needs
· Present tailored solutions across office products, print, furniture, workwear, PPE, branded merchandise, catering and janitorial supplies
· Work closely with internal support teams to ensure customers receive a responsive and professional service
· Manage your territory effectively, maintaining accurate records, activity levels and follow-up plans
· Deliver agreed sales, margin and growth targets through a proactive and organised approach
· Represent the business professionally in meetings, presentations and customer reviews
About You
The ideal candidate will have proven B2B sales experience and a strong track record of success, ideally gained within one or more of the categories we sell. You will be organised, focused and results driven, with the confidence to manage your own territory and make decisions in a busy, fast-paced environment.
· Experienced in B2B sales, new business development and account growth
· Commercially aware, target driven and motivated by results
· Confident in prospecting, presenting and closing opportunities
· Able to think independently, prioritise effectively and take ownership of your territory
· Comfortable working in a pressurised, fast-moving sales environment
· Professional, resilient and able to build credibility with customers at all levels
· Knowledge of office products, print, furniture, workwear, PPE, branded merchandise, catering or janitorial products would be advantageous
