Hutchinsons Feeds is a family owned business and a leading manufacturer and distributor of animal feeds. We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our engineering team at a busy animal feed mill. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping the mill's production plant and equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently. This is a hands-on role involving planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and continuous improvement across a wide range of mechanical equipment.
You will work closely with the Production and Engineering teams to minimise downtime and maintain a safe and efficient manufacturing operation.
The Role:
· Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the feed mill.
· Respond promptly to mechanical breakdowns and production stoppages.
· Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs.
· Assist with installation, modification and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
· Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to increase plant reliability.
· Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately.
· Work safely in accordance with company procedures, risk assessments and relevant legislation.
· Follow isolation, lock-out/tag-out and permit-to-work procedures.
· Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the engineering and production areas.
Pay: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
