Seeking an experienced or trainee paraplanner !
Overview of role
To act as a point of contact for several Individual financial planners with the general goal of assisting them with compliant report writing and admin assistance
General responsibilities
- Making sure you follow the firm’s compliance processes and procedures at times
- Making sure you follow relevant advice and sales procedures at all times
- Complying with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA’s Conduct rules and the relevant rules from the FCA at all times .Keeping up to date with relevant regulatory, product, legislative and technical requirements
- Making sure all client contact is carried out in a professional and courteous way
- Making sure all client files are compliant on an ongoing basis
- Making sure all client records are retained in line with the firm’s Date security / data protection / record keeping policy
- Work closely with Financial Planners to prepare client recommendations
- Work on a collaborative basis with the rest of the Paraplanning team
- Liaise with product providers
- Suggesting process improvements
- Use cash flow modelling as required
- Compile research and recommendations for the firm’s central investment proposition
Specific responsibilities
- Providing support to our firm’s advisers in completing non-client facing tasks in relation to the preparation and administration of recommendations being made
- Liaising with advisers as appropriate
- Acting as a main point of contact for clients Dealing with client queries in an efficient and timely manner
- Arranging / attending client meetings as requested
- Making sure any updates and reports are issued to clients in a timely manner
- Reviewing client investment portfolios, asset allocations, risk profiles etc. when requested Preparing recommendations, including:- Identifying and discussing areas with the adviser
- Undertaking relevant research-
- Preparing documentation to the reviewed by the adviser-
- Preparing draft suitability reports Implementing recommendations, including:- Preparing suitability reports-
- Completing applications / proposal forms- When instructed, making changes to a client’s investment portfolio
- Preparing and maintaining client files, including
- Collecting all relevant information to support any recommendations to be made-
- Making sure all relevant documentation held within a client file is compliant
Relevant experience, skills and knowledge
We expect an individual performing this role to have the following:
- Good knowledge and understanding of the high-level standards expected by the FCA and in particular the following sourcebooks:- Principles for Business (PRIN) - Code of Conduct (COCON) Business Standards COBS / ICOBS / MCOB
- Having a positive culture attitude at all times Good written / oral communication skills
- The ability to take on and understand the environment we operate in, and the issues this raises
- General IT skills Ability to compile reports
Qualification requirements
We expect an individual in this role to hold the following qualifications:
To have made some progress towards level 4 qualification standard
Previous Paraplanning or IFA Administration experience
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
