Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and personable Barback to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves supporting the bar operations by ensuring the bar area is well-stocked, clean, and organised, while also engaging with guests to provide an exceptional service experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and experience in food and beverage service. Responsibilities
- Restock and replenish bar supplies, including alcohol, mixers, garnishes, and glassware to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Assist bartenders in preparing ingredients for cocktails and drinks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, washing glassware, and disposing of waste appropriately
- Support the serving staff by delivering drinks to tables or guests at the bar
- Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to within the bar environment
- Monitor stock levels and inform management of inventory needs
- Engage with guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and answering any queries they may have
- Assist with general cleaning duties around the bar and dining areas during quieter periods
Skills
- Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of drink preparation and bar operations
- Strong communication skills with an ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
- Organised with excellent attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and stock levels
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
- Experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
- A friendly attitude combined with professionalism and a positive approach to teamwork
