We are seeking an experienced and passionate Early Years and Education End-Point Assessor to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to support apprentices in achieving their apprenticeship by delivering high-quality End-Point Assessment (EPA) across a range of Early Years and Education apprenticeship standards.
The role is home-based but requires regular travel to apprentice workplaces across the Midlands and surrounding areas to conduct face-to-face assessments.
As an End-Point Assessor, you will play a vital role in ensuring apprentices are assessed fairly, consistently and in line with assessment plans and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver End-Point Assessment for the following apprenticeship standards:
- Early Years Practitioner (Level 2)
- Early Years Educator (Level 3)
- Early Years Lead Practitioner (Level 5)
- Playworker (Level 2)
- Specialist Teaching Assistant (Level 5)
- Conduct professional observations, interviews and assessment activities in accordance with assessment plans.
- Record assessment decisions accurately using our EPA platform.
- Complete grading decisions and written justifications within three working days of each assessment.
- Maintain accurate CPD records.
- Work closely with the Education and Early Years Manager to support continuous improvement within the assessments team.
- Attend standardisation meetings and training to ensure consistency of assessment decisions.
- Participate in internal quality assurance and moderation activities.
- Report any conflicts of interest, malpractice or maladministration in accordance with company policies.
- Keep up to date with apprenticeship standards, assessment requirements and organisational policies.
- Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Essential
- A recognised assessor qualification (CAVA, TAQA, A1, D32/D33 or equivalent).
- A relevant Early Years qualification at Level 6 or above
- At least three years' recent occupational experience within an Early Years setting.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience producing accurate assessment reports.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a wider team.
- A commitment to quality, consistency and regulatory compliance.
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across London and surrounding areas.
Desirable
- Experience of End-Point Assessment.
- Experience of quality assurance or internal verification.
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards and assessment plans.
