Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with the ability to cultivate and maintain beautiful gardens. This role involves working outdoors, tending to various plants, and ensuring the overall health and aesthetics of the landscape.
This job is self employed and payments will be via cis scheme
Responsibilities
- Cultivate and maintain a variety of plants, flowers, and shrubs in garden beds.
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and weeding.
- Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various gardening tasks.
- Irrigate plants appropriately to ensure optimal growth and health.
- Assist in the design and layout of new garden areas as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of garden areas to identify pests or diseases.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve landscaping goals.
Skills
- Proficiency in growing a diverse range of plants and understanding their specific needs.
- Experience in landscape maintenance practices to enhance outdoor spaces.
- Familiarity with hand tools such as spades, rakes, and pruners for effective gardening.
- Ability to operate power tools safely for various gardening tasks.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and techniques for efficient watering practices.
- Strong groundskeeping skills to maintain the overall appearance of the property.
- Excellent attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor environments.
