Duties
- Engage with customers actively to understand their kitchen needs, preferences, and project goals, providing tailored solutions that excite and inspire.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits clearly, utilizing tools like SketchUp (3D modeling software) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) to help customers visualize their new kitchen layouts.
- Upsell complementary products and accessories by identifying customer needs and highlighting added value to enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays that showcase the latest products, trends, and design options to attract customer attention.
- Communicate effectively in multiple languages such as English and Spanish to connect with a diverse customer base, ensuring clarity and understanding throughout the sales process.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate appointments, manage inventory, and ensure the store remains inviting and well-stocked.
- Support customers through the entire sales cycle—from initial consultation to final purchase—ensuring satisfaction at every stage.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales within a kitchen or home improvement environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a valuable asset for engaging diverse clients.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, CAD software, or similar design tools to assist customers visually conceptualize their projects.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements, pricing, and estimating project costs.
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple customer interactions while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of merchandising principles to create attractive displays that drive sales and promote new products.
- Experience in upselling techniques that enhance customer satisfaction while increasing sales revenue.
