a growing and well-established manufacturing business in Birmingham who are looking to strengthen their fabrication team with the addition of an experienced Fabricator / TIG & MIG Welder.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a long-term, stable role on a day shift, working on a variety of fabrication and welding projects across standard production and bespoke work.

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding a range of components while maintaining excellent quality standards.
Duties will include:

TIG & MIG welding to a high standard
-
Fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
-
Working with material thicknesses from 1mm–10mm
-
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
-
Positioning, aligning and fitting fabricated components
-
Grinding, sanding and finishing completed work
-
Inspecting completed welds and assemblies
-
Operating workshop machinery where required

Supporting production targets and maintaining quality standards

Reporting drawing discrepancies and continuous improvements
✔ Previous Fabrication & Welding experience
✔ Strong TIG welding ability
✔ Ability to work independently from engineering drawings
✔ High attention to detail and quality standards
✔ Good workshop and manufacturing knowledge
➕ Aluminium welding experience
➕ MIG welding experience
➕ Previous coded welding approvals
➕ Forklift licence
Hours of Work
Day Shift
Monday – Thursday: Standard day shifts
Friday: Potential early finish depending on workload
