Salary: £28.62 - £37.08 per hour
Hours per week: up to 6 hours (between 17:00 - 21:00 on Tuesday/Thursday evening)

We’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Barbering Lecturer to join our expanding team.
As a Barbering Lecturer, you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging, practical sessions across a range of barbering units, including:

Clipper work
- Creative styling and finishing
- Shaving and beard shaping
- Client consultation and customer service
- Health & safety and professional standards
- Patterns & Perming
Responsibilities:
You’ll work with learners from Level 2 to Level 3, helping them build confidence, technical ability, and employability skills in a real-world- Deliver engaging and practical lessons in barbering techniques, theory, and industry standards.

Support learners in developing their skills, confidence, and employability.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay up to date with trends and innovations in the barbering industry.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and student experience.
Essential Experience:

A qualified barber with substantial industry experience.
- Teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

Any successful candidates will be required to complete a structured training pathway, unless they already hold the relevant qualifications. This includes a two-week teacher induction (must be completed within probation), followed by the Award in Education and Training (AET) including Assessor is required, and then the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher (LST) apprenticeship. Completion of this structured learning programme is expected within 3 years. Furthermore, there is the option to pursue Qualified Teacher Learning Status (QTLS).
