The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Support young people with daily routines and activities
- Promote education, independence, and emotional wellbeing
- Build positive and professional relationships
- Support behaviour management and safeguarding practices
- Complete daily recordings and care documentation
- Support young people to attend education, appointments, and activities
- Deliver keywork sessions and contribute to care planning
- Work collaboratively as part of a professional team
About You

Essential Requirements
- Experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable individuals
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and professional boundaries
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
- Previous experience in a children's residential home
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice
- Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs
Important Information
Children's residential care is a 24-hour service. Successful applicants must be able to work a rota that includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins. Reliability, consistency, and commitment are essential due to the needs of the young people we support.
