We are looking for a female Support Worker in Somerset who is patient, compassionate, and confident communicating with people who are deafblind. This role focuses on communication support, community support, and helping someone live independently at their own pace.
This is a highly rewarding Support Worker role where patience, empathy, and strong communication skills will make a real difference
Hours & Shift Pattern

Every Wednesday – 5 hours

Every Friday – 5 hours

Remaining 6 hours to be mutually agreed
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide communication support, practical support, and community support to help 3 individuals maintain independence and enjoy daily activities.
Your role will include:

Supporting communication clear speech
-
Inclusive of making and receiving telephone calls on behalf of our clients.

Helping with daily planning and activities
-
Supporting community access and independence
-
Building a positive and trusting relationship

Completing simple digital records and paperwork

Communicating with professionals, including liaising with Social Services and Mental Health Teams when required
We are looking for a female Support Worker who is:

A driver, with access to their own vehicle which is insured for business use.

Clear and confident in communication
-
Patient and understanding, able to work at the client’s pace

Flexible and able to adapt to individual needs
-
Able to build strong relationships while maintaining professional boundaries
-
Willing to go the extra mile while remaining within the role

Someone with good judgement and common sense

Comfortable using basic IT systems

Able to complete digital paperwork and records
