About the Role – Production Team Leader
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and motivated Production Team Leader to join our team and make a real impact on our operations.
In this role, you’ll be at the heart of the manufacturing process—leading from the front to drive performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Working closely with the Managing Team Leader (MTL) and Production Manager, you will play a key part in delivering productivity targets while ensuring everything runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.
You’ll inspire and lead your team to achieve their best, creating a positive, high-performing environment where people feel supported and engaged. Championing health and safety, as well as quality standards, you’ll ensure your team consistently delivers outstanding results.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about developing people. You’ll coach, mentor, and support your team, ensuring they have the skills, training, and confidence to succeed—while building a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and motivate a multi-skilled team to deliver strong performance across designated production areas
- Work closely with the Production Manager to develop team capability and increase workforce flexibility to meet changing production demands
- Understand daily and weekly production plans, ensuring targets are met and proactively escalating any risks or issues
- Ensure full compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and drive consistency across all activities
- Monitor production output and product quality, quickly identifying and escalating any issues to minimise disruption
- Champion a strong health and safety culture, ensuring all team members follow policies, procedures, and PPE requirements at all times
- Maintain high standards of quality within your area, taking ownership of improvements where required
- Support people management activities, including return-to-work meetings and investigations, in partnership with HR
What We’re Looking For
- Solid understanding of production processes and how to drive efficiency and performance
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence at all levels
- A hands-on leader who leads by example and motivates others to succeed
- A positive, proactive “can-do” attitude with a focus on continuous improvement
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and standard IT systems
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
Enjoy a fantastic work-life balance with a Monday to Friday shift pattern—no weekend working required. This role operates on a 6:00am to 2:15pm shift.
