Assembly & Installation Operative
Pay: £26,364-£30,420
About Watson Gym Equipment
Watson Gym Equipment is a highly successful gym equipment manufacturer established in 1999 that continues to grow year after year. We design and manufacture premium strength equipment for commercial gyms, elite sports facilities and private clients, exporting worldwide.
As part of our continued expansion, we're looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Assembly & Installation Operative to join our team at our headquarters in Frome.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role combining workshop assembly with customer installations.
The majority of your time will be spent at our manufacturing facility assembling our wide range of premium gym equipment to the exceptionally high standards expected of the Watson brand. You'll also be part of our installation team, travelling to customer sites to deliver, assemble and install equipment in commercial gyms, training facilities and private gyms across the UK.
Some installations will involve assembling equipment on-site, so you'll need to be confident using tools, interpreting assembly instructions and solving practical problems in different environments.
No two days are the same. One week you may be building equipment in our factory, the next you could be helping transform a customer's new gym.
We encourage applicants to browse our website to familiarise themselves with the products you'll be building and installing.

Ideally, you'll have experience in one or more of the following:
- Mechanical assembly
- Engineering or manufacturing

- Vehicle mechanics or maintenance
- Carpentry, fabrication or similar skilled trades
- Regular use of hand and power tools
Full training will be provided on our products, but you must have strong mechanical aptitude, enjoy practical work and be able to build products accurately from instructions.
