Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Night Storeman to oversee warehouse operations during the night shift. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, English speaking and reading, and experience with a warehouse setting. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth handling, storage, and dispatch of materials, maintaining safety standards, completing paperwork and supporting overall warehouse efficiency.
Duties
- Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment safely to load and unload goods.
- Manage stock levels.
- Handle materials efficiently, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving products.
- Conduct stock checks and organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation.
- Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks as required.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all operations.
- Support maintenance tasks related to warehouse equipment when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets.
- Cleaning the warehouse and office areas.
- Filling in all paperwork required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics roles
- Proficiency in operating forklift machinery (certification preferred)
- Knowledge related to warehouse equipment
- Experience in materials handling, stock control, and shipping & receiving processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills (English - Speaking & Reading) and ability to work independently during night shifts

Pay: £12.50-£14.00 per hour
