Job Summary
This is a great opportunity to join the Care in Wales team. We are currently looking to recruit a part- time Office Administrator that will assist and support Management to drive the service effectively.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Provide administration support to Management on a daily basis in line with our values, principles, policies and procedures.
- Monitoring of our systems ‘Electronic Call Monitoring’ to ensure that all clients receive their full allocated time as provisioned by Social Services.
We are ideally looking for individuals with experience in a domiciliary care setting as the role would require you to have an understanding of how the domiciliary care industry works. Having previous care assistant experience within another care setting would be beneficial.
Experience working in an administrative role within a business/office environment would be essential as you would be the first point of contact for clients and staff.
The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative.
You will be able to demonstrate personal qualities that would be highly valued, and you will gain satisfaction in contributing to the provision of care to vulnerable and elderly people.
Selection Criteria:
1. Experience working in an administrative role within a business/office environment as you would be the first point of contact for clients and staff. (Essential)
2. Computer literacy: Knowledge of the particular software is unnecessary but to be a quick learner and “at ease” with computers is essential. You will be required to have excellent, accurate computer and inputting skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. (Essential)
3. Experience using care software, CareFree (Desirable)
4. Flexibility: Although this role is for office hours (Mondays to Fridays: 09h00 – 17h00) you may be required to work later in some instances or on a weekend to meet the needs of the business.
5. Able to work 22.5 hours per week, more if you wish to complete additional care hours to meet full time hours.
6. For those wishing to complete care hours to increase income, Social Care Wales registration is required as well as having a QCF Level 2 or 3 or the willingness to complete this alongside the role.
7. Have excellent organisation skills and strong attention to detail (Essential)
8. Work unsupervised and be a role model for other staff. Also, be able to demonstrate the ability to work as part of a busy team and be able to demonstrate clear, effective communication skills. Good telephone manner is important, when circumstances change you may need to phone staff to get cover at short notice. You will need to be friendly, understanding, creative yet firm.
9. Able to meet targets and work within strict timelines and be able cope under extreme pressure.
10. Resilient character: This position requires someone with a strong character who is not easily stressed and can listen to constructive feedback.
11. Have a driving licence and own vehicle (Essential).
12. Employment is subject to two satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS.
13. Applicants should be 18 years or over.

- Competitive salary £16 228 p/a, 3 days per week 09:00am – 17:00pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday (The successful candidate will be subject to a 3-month probationary period)
