Mahina is a new late-night tiki bar launching in Portsmouth. Built around atmosphere, energy, music, and unforgettable nights out, Mahina is designed to be a true experiential venue — somewhere people come not just to drink, but to be part of something.
We are looking for an exceptional General Manager to lead the venue from launch.
This role is ideal for a strong, people-focused leader from a late-night, experiential, or high-energy environment who thrives on building teams, creating atmosphere, and leading from the front.
The Role
Full leadership and ownership of a high-energy late-night venue
Building, developing, and inspiring a confident, personality-driven team
Leading from the floor and setting the tone every night
Creating a fun, professional, and high-performing culture
Delivering consistently outstanding guest experiences
Driving venue performance, standards, and long-term success
What We’re Looking For
An experienced General Manager
A natural leader who builds strong teams and develops people
Experience in late-night, experiential, high-volume, or premium hospitality environments
Someone with energy, personality, and strong presence on the floor
Confident managing fast-paced, late-night service
Ambitious, driven, and excited by the opportunity to launch and build a new venue
This role will particularly suit leaders from experiential bars, late-night venues, and high-energy branded or independent concepts where atmosphere and team culture are everything.
