Mobile Plant Fitter
Location: Essex / Kent / London
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 OTE
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x hourly rate

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join our growing team, covering Essex, Kent and London.
You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of a range of heavy plant and construction machinery, working both on customer sites and in the field.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plant Fitter looking for a long-term position with a well-equipped company that provides the tools and support needed to do the job properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on heavy plant machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults
- Attend breakdowns and carry out repairs efficiently and safely
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Work independently on customer sites across Essex, Kent and London
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in line with health & safety requirements
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment to a professional standard
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Fitter, Heavy Plant Engineer or similar
- Experience working on heavy plant and construction machinery
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance/Engineering is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to travel across the region
