Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer (Civil) to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring work progresses according to plans and schedules
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate project activities effectively
- Monitor health and safety compliance, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Review project drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility
- Manage site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce deployment
- Resolve technical issues promptly to minimise delays and maintain project quality standards
- Keep detailed records of site activities, progress reports, and any variations or changes in scope
- Assist in the preparation of project timelines, budgets, and resource planning
Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Engineer (Civil) or similar role within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and relevant regulations
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using project management software
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders
- Relevant qualifications such as a BSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent are preferred
- Familiarity with health and safety legislation applicable to construction sites is essential
