We are looking for a Mobile Plant Operative to join our team in Amesbury. This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary and a fantastic benefits package.
What is the role all about?
As our Mobile Plant Operative, you will operate fixed and mobile plant as instructed by the Site Supervisor in a correct and safe manner.
What you will be doing:
As our Mobile Plant Operative, you will:
- Operate telehandlers, 360 excavators, and other site plant safely and efficiently to support daily waste transfer station operations.
- Carry out routine inspections, basic maintenance, and minor repairs on fixed and mobile plant equipment.
- Ensure all machinery is operated in accordance with manufacturer guidance, company procedures, and health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised site environment through excellent housekeeping standards.
- Support environmental compliance activities, including monitoring, record keeping, and assisting with permit and planning requirements.
- Assist with weighbridge operations and site administration tasks, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Provide cover and support for the Site Supervisor when required, helping to ensure the smooth running of site operations.
What we are looking for:
- Candidates must hold a current license to operate a telescopic handler & 360 excavator.
- Be physically fit to undertake manual handling activity
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Experience within a waste or recycling operation environment would be a distinct advantage.
