Job Summary
Operating various pieces of mobile plant, subject to appropriate qualifications, primarily Tracked /wheeled loading shovel, Landfill Compactor, Dump truck, 360 Excavator and various rated forklifts to dealing with incoming wastes including asbestos from time-to-time other manual based activities maybe required to take place e.g., setting up of pumping systems, cleaning of weighbridge decks and other manual handling based tasks such as hooking of FIBC’s
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively support and embed the Augean ENRMF safety culture into visiting drivers.
- Ensure that the daily checks are complete on the relevant piece of equipment.
- Ensure that the relevant amount of daily cover is placed on each relevant area.
- Operative to perform a site walk over with site manager/supervisor detailing environmental controls.
- Any other reasonable duties as and when required.
- Ensuring that the efficient turnaround of visiting vehicles is adhere to, in the event this falls out of the control of the operative- this is to be flagged to supervisor and or site manager.
Critical Qualifications
- The candidate is ideally required to be qualified to CPCS, NPORS or NVQ standard with demonstrable experience of mobile plant operation.
Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Handling of a diverse range of Hazardous and Non-hazardous waste streams along with asbestos based wastes.
- Good knowledge of waste processing compliance issues and enforcement.
- Good organisation skills
- Self-starter.
- Right first-time mentality.
- Mature can-do attitude, able to buy into the need for change (an everlasting activity).
- Able to work efficiently in what can be an unstructured situation.
- Good health, able to undertake physical work on a continuous basis.
Pay: £31,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
