Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing essential care and support to children, ensuring their well-being and development in a safe and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be organised, and have a genuine passion for working with young people. Previous experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable. Duties
- Assist children with daily activities, promoting independence and confidence
- Implement and follow individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs
- Support children during educational and recreational activities, encouraging social interaction
- Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour, and any concerns
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent care
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Use IT systems to update records, communicate with team members, and manage schedules
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is preferred
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely is desirable
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to develop and follow care plans effectively
- Organised approach to managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Good IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Compassionate nature with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly according to the needs of the service

This position is for our new home which is currently going through OFSTED, there may be shifts available at our other home, as well as induction and training which is paid.
Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
