People & Culture Advisor
Manchester hybrid 3 days pw onsite Full-time £36,000–£42,000
At Clear Law, we believe that great businesses are built by great people, supported by great managers and strong organisational foundations.
Over the past 12 months we've been transforming the way we support our colleagues. We're introducing new performance frameworks, refreshing our People policies, investing in new systems, strengthening manager capability and building a culture based on clarity, accountability and continuous improvement. Now we're looking for the right person to help us take the next step.
This isn't a traditional HR Advisor role.
It's an opportunity to become a key part of a small, ambitious People & Culture team with the chance to make a genuine impact across the business. You'll take ownership of the operational delivery of our People function, supporting managers and colleagues across every stage of the employee lifecycle. One day you might be advising a manager through an employee relations matter, the next producing management information, improving an HR process, coordinating recruitment or onboarding a new colleague.
We're looking for someone who understands that excellent People & Culture isn't about choosing between people and process—it's about delivering both exceptionally well.
We are a small team, which means everyone contributes across every aspect of the function. No task is beneath anyone, and no two days are the same. If you're someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in producing high-quality work and likes making things better than you found them, you'll fit right in.
We're looking for someone who already has solid HR foundations. You should be confident managing routine employee relations matters, providing practical advice to managers and delivering the operational HR service that keeps a business running smoothly. Just as importantly, you'll understand that the quality of your administration, records and reporting is every bit as important as your casework.
We believe in growing talent, so we want to hear from you if you are still developing in your career. There is no expectation that you already know everything and have experienced every possible HR scenario.
We're interested in how you work as much as what you've done. We value people who think for themselves, ask thoughtful questions, challenge ideas respectfully and are happy to change their minds when presented with a better solution. We don't expect someone who simply agrees with everything we say—we're looking for a colleague who will contribute their own ideas, take ownership and help us continue improving.
In return, you'll join a business where People & Culture has a genuine voice, where you'll have the opportunity to influence how we work and where your contribution will make a visible difference.
If you're looking for a role where you can combine operational HR expertise with the opportunity to help shape a growing People & Culture function, we'd love to hear from you.
