Support Worker
An established charitable organisation is currently looking to recruit a Support Worker based in the South Oxhey area on a 3-month temporary contract.
Hourly rate: £18.40 (Umbrella)
Location: South Oxhey area
Contract: 3 months
Hours: 37 hours | Monday to Friday | Sociable hours and No weekends
Please note that due to the requirements of this role; a Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is required.
Role Summary:
· Working with a caseload of young people in their own accommodation ages 16-25
· Dealing with young people suffering from mental health issues and drug and alcohol misuse
· Carrying out support plans and risk assessments
· Teaching life skills and preparing the young people to live independently in the community
· Supporting clients with budgeting and applying for housing benefits to reduce rent arrears
· Actively encouraging and facilitating activities to engage and involve the young people
· Always promoting independence
· Adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures
· Updating notes and records ensuring they are concise and accurate
The successful candidate will have:
· An enhanced DBS from within the last three years or willingness to obtain one
· Experience working with vulnerable young people in a supported living environment
