About Total Fitness
Join one of the UK’s leading health and fitness clubs and help inspire our members to live healthier, happier lives. At Total Fitness, we’re on a mission to get everyone feeling better, whatever that means to them - and we’d love your help to make that happen.
As a bold, brave business, we encourage people to find their own way, in fitness and beyond and every single role we have contributes. We’re a place with contagious courage that makes people believe they can do more than they thought possible.
We’re really proud of our culture, we put our people first, always. Our promise to our team is that “more is possible”. Whether that is moving up the career ladder, delivering your first spin class, or making incredible friendships.
Total Fitness is a space to be you. Your character, what makes you an individual, that’s what we want you to bring to work with you every day.
Job Purpose:
We’re looking for a Front of House Supervisor to join our brilliant team in Lincoln.
You don’t need to be a professional juggler, but you will need to be comfortable keeping a few plates spinning. This is a busy, hands-on role where you’ll lead and support our Front of House team, help the club run smoothly and make sure every member receives a warm, confident welcome.
You’ll work closely with the jest of the team to make the joining journey feel simple, create brilliant first impressions and help our members feel comfortable and supported from the moment they arrive.
40 hours per week, working across a seven-day rota including weekdays and weekends
What you'll get:
- Access to our Growth Library of development opportunities from across the business.
- Free gym membership for you and a friend or family member, plus two discounted memberships after probation.
- 28 days’ holiday including bank holidays, increasing with service.
- Workplace pension scheme.
- Death in Service benefit.
- Discounts on our retail and café products.
- Access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
- A supportive team where you can develop, take ownership and make a genuine difference.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead from the front, working alongside your team to create a welcoming, well-organised experience for every member.
- Lead and support the Front of House team, setting clear priorities and helping everyone perform confidently.
- Coach and develop team members, supporting their onboarding and ongoing training.
- Create brilliant first impressions and ensure the joining and reception experience feels simple, consistent and welcoming.
- Respond to member questions and concerns, using our AI agents to find accurate answers and resolve enquiries wherever possible.
- Keep Front of House operations running smoothly, safely and to standard, including reception presentation, health and safety and safeguarding.
- Monitor Front of House performance and look for practical ways to improve the member experience.
- Communicate clearly across shifts and work closely with the Member Success Manager and wider club team to provide a joined-up member experience.
- Support the practical running of the club, including rotas, handovers, reporting, stock, cashing up and opening or closing the building when required.
What we’re looking for
We’re less interested in formal job titles and more interested in how you show up, support others and take ownership.
You might already supervise a small team, or perhaps you’re the person others naturally turn to for guidance during a busy shift. Either way, we’d like you to bring:
- Experience in a customer-facing environment, with some responsibility for supporting or guiding others, either formally or informally.
- Confidence managing several priorities while remaining calm, organised and professional.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to give clear direction to others.
- A practical, solution-focused approach and the confidence to take ownership.
- An Emergency First Aid Certificate, or a willingness to complete the training.
It would be helpful, although not essential, if you also have:
- Experience within the fitness, leisure, hospitality or retail sectors.
- Some knowledge of health and safety or compliance procedures.
- A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
Please note that this role is subject to a DBS check. If you do not currently hold a valid DBS certificate and your application is successful, Total Fitness will cover the cost.
If you’re ready to lead a team, make a difference to our members and play an important part in the success of our Lincoln club, we’d love to hear from you.
