General Manager - Trowbridge

We are a brand-new independent hospitality venue in the heart of Trowbridge, combining live music and entertainment, exceptional coffee, great food, creative cocktails, community events, and outstanding customer service. We’re looking for an experienced, ambitious, and hands-on General Manager to lead our team and help establish us as one of Trowbridge’s most exciting hospitality destinations.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a new business from the ground up, shape the culture, build a high-performing team, and play a key role in its long-term success.
The Role
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the venue, reporting to the Managing Director, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving sales, profitability, and team engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, motivating, and developing the team
- Delivering exceptional customer service standards
- Managing all daily operations across food, drink, and events
- Recruiting, training, and retaining staff
- Driving sales and local marketing initiatives
- Managing stock, ordering, and supplier relationships
- Controlling labour and operating costs
- Ensuring compliance with licensing, health & safety, and food safety regulations
- Creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Working closely with the owners to deliver the vision of the venue
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager in hospitality
- Is passionate about music, food, drink, coffee, and customer experience
- Has strong leadership and people-management skills
- Understands financial controls, KPIs, and profit management
- Is organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Is hands-on and willing to lead from the front
- Has experience opening new venues (desirable but not essential)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
