We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing business to find an HR Advisor to support their Burnley and Barrowford sites. Reporting into the HR Manager, this is a great opportunity for a hands-on HR generalist to take real ownership of the employee lifecycle across two operational facilities.
The Role
You'll be the day-to-day HR point of contact across both sites, working closely with the HR Manager to deliver a fair, consistent, and well-run people function. Core responsibilities include:
- Supporting HR initiatives that improve organisational effectiveness
- Delivering accurate, timely HR data and KPIs to the business
- Managing new starter inductions, with structured check-ins at 4, 8, and 12 weeks
- Advising on low-level investigations, disciplinary, and grievance matters
- Tracking and supporting the employee performance review cycle
- Owning internal communications and keeping HR systems current
- Managing the relationship with the Occupational Health Advisor and health surveillance schedule
- Coordinating workwear issuing, re-ordering, and related purchase orders
- Maintaining compliant, audit-ready HR records
- Partnering with hiring managers on recruitment, from advert to offer
- Identifying and booking mandatory training (First Aid, Fire Marshal, EHS, refreshers, etc.)
- Supporting the training budget and individual development plans alongside the HR Manager
- Building relationships with training providers and industry bodies
- Supporting apprentices and the apprenticeship scheme with external providers

- A genuine commitment to fairness, integrity, and consistent policy application
- Confident communicator, comfortable across all levels of the organisation
