Responsibilities

- Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions.
- Manage behavioral challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques, especially for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations using first aid skills and coordinate with healthcare professionals or emergency services as needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in assisted living, senior care, or home care environments.
- Strong patient care skills with an understanding of nursing home procedures and hospice care practices.
- Knowledge of Alzheimer's, dementia, and behavioral management strategies.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
- Excellent caregiving skills combined with effective communication and active listening abilities.
- Certifications in first aid, medication administration, or related health fields are highly desirable.
- Experience in childcare or other caregiving roles that demonstrate compassion, patience, and reliability.
