4.Operations, is recruiting, on behalf of a well-established passenger transport operator in Suffolk, an experienced General Manager to lead and develop its transport operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded transport professional looking to take ownership of a growing operation while leading operational teams and contributing to business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day management of transport operations.
- Organise and supervise office and operational staff.
- Develop new business opportunities and build client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company procedures.
- Participate in the on-call management rota.
- Provide operational support, including driving duties when required.
- Drive operational performance and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Passenger Transport.
- Previous management experience within the passenger transport industry.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Commercial awareness and business development experience.
- Valid DBS (or ability to obtain one).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to live in or relocate within 20–30 minutes of Ipswich.
