Rate of Pay: -
Minimum Starting Rates will be: -
- 18-20 Year Olds - £11.35p/h
- 21+ Year Olds £13.21 p/h
The Manor House & Ashbury Hotels: -
- We are two Sport, Craft and Spa Hotels, located just outside of Okehampton in Devon, UK.
- Our Ashbury Hotel is also the 9th largest golf resort in the world!

- The majority of our kitchen staff have been with is for 10+ years, some have been with us for 25+ years.
Duties: -
- Wash-up duties (i.e. washing/drying etc). Please note this is manual wash-up of generally larger pots/pans etc. Smaller items (such as plates/cutlery etc are washed via a machine in a separate department).
- Keeping a clean/safe working area.
- Assisting other Kitchen staff as required.
- Subject to performance/attitude/interest etc there will be opportunity to work in other areas of the Kitchen and learn other/new skills.
Hours: -
- PART-TIME – EVENING Shift Work.
- We welcome candidates who are looking for anything between 2 and 5 evenings per week.
- Due to the nature of the job it will include regular weekend shifts as well as midweek.
- Standard shifts are: 6.00pm or 7.00pm start working until finish (9.00pm/9.30pm).
Person Specification: -
- Fast worker - essential, as we cater for large numbers when the hotels are busy.
- Looking for an honest, hardworking individual.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred but not essential.
- A good role for someone who is physically fit and strong (it might save you having to spend so much time in the gym!!).
- It is logistically easier if the candidate drives and lives locally, for commuting purposes. However this is not essential, but please give thought to how you would commute before applying.
