Would you like to be part of our Estates Service Team? At Chime Housing we take pride in the care of our estates to create safe, friendly environments for our residents to live in - you could make a difference to people’s lives.
Introduction to the role
You would be responsible for looking after your estates, working outside most of the time to ensure that the external areas of various flat blocks are kept to a good standard to include organisation removal, reporting of bulk waste, repairs, cleanliness of land we own that would include open spaces, bin stores, drying and parking areas.
The role will be working on your own initiative after full training has been given, and also a team for projects that need it.
You will have support from your line manager during your daily tasks and be expected to assist other teams within the organisation for instance, working with communities on open days.
Role purpose
As part of our Estates team, you will use your skills to help us deliver high-quality estates services to our communities. The right candidate will need the ability to use their initiative to carry out daily tasks in a safe and efficient manner, taking personal responsibility for delivering an excellent service to our customers. You’ll work effectively and proactively with colleagues to maintain high standards.

Key Accountabilities:
Ensure a high standard of customer service
Take personal responsibility for the areas you look after
Be able to communicate with our residents whilst carrying out your duties
Report any concerns that may be raised with you to the relevant team members
Work with colleagues from the Estates and other teams when the need arises
What are we looking for?
You will be customer focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You will understand the importance of health and safety matters on our estates.
Essential:
Have had some experience of working in an estates or caretaking role
Be able to work alone and as part of a team
Hold a full current driving licence
You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic DBS check
Be able to drive work vehicles of various makes and sizes
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including emails
To be able to confidently use a mobile phone and various applications
Ability to problem solve whist on your estates
To be able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
